In-motion Checkweighing

Dimensioning Systems
Because most carriers rely on dimensions to determine shipping rates, it is critical for logistics personnel to accurately determine dim weight. Rice Lake’s iDimension® Series captures images of packages, flats, poly bags, tubes and irregular shaped items in record time to calculate the dimensions of your packages for shipment.
Dimensioning Systems with ELS Load Cell Stands
When paired with the ELS Series elevated load cell stand, the iDimension Plus XL integrates with a conveyor to quickly and easily capture package weights. The ELS Series and the iDimension Plus XL can also be combined with the 680 Synergy Series and 1280 Enterprise™ Series indicators for extensive communication and data integration.
MotoWeigh® Cascade Scale
The Motoweigh® Cascade Scale in-motion gravity drop checkweigher offers increased efficiency, as well as product consistency in a compact package. Ideal for checkweighing small part kits that do not register well on a standard conveyor scale, the Cascade Scale can be incorporated to decrease product returns and shorted product by ensuring all parts are present and containers are not packed with extra components.
Bench Scales
A bench scale is ideal for use in a wide range of industrial applications and it can be designed to withstand the demands of harsh environments. Bench scales are a durable platform scale that may have a removeable cover to simplify cleaning processes. Additionally, bench scales can be paired with a variety of weight indicators and an optional column that keeps the indicator at eye level. For load cell protection, there is an overload stop within the frame to ensure that even in accidental shock-loading conditions, the load cell is guarded from harmful forces.

Load Cells and Mounts
The load cell is the most important component of a weighing system because all digital scales rely on them to function. Load cells contain a strain gauge that measures electrical currents and changes in resistance when weight is applied to it. This causes the load cell to bend slightly and changes the electrical resistance in the load cell, which a weight indicator processes to display a weight value.

Shannon has 8 years of scale industry experience working with customers across various industries to create powerful weighing solutions. As a National Strategic Accounts Manager with Rice Lake, she manages the sales process for MotoWeigh® in-motion checkweighers, EZ Mount tank weighing assemblies, bench scales and floor scales.
Phil Hamm - Strategic Accounts Manager
Phil began his career at Rice Lake Weighing Systems in 2019 as a National Accounts Manager and transitioned into his role as a Strategic Accounts Manager in 2020. Phil mainly focuses on managing the sales process for dimensioning and Motoweigh in-motion checkweighers.
Mikayla Solie - Exhibition Coordinator
Mikayla is our corporate exhibit coordinator at Rice Lake. She plans, schedules and manages tradeshow events. Prior to working in event management, Mikayla worked in the shipping industry; giving her inside knowledge and insights into our products and services for this specific sector.
Jon Thurs - Senior Technical Customer Service Representative
Jon began his career with Rice Lake Weighing Systems in 2023 as a Senior Technical Customer Service Representative and is excited to attend his first tradeshow. Jon has become a vital member of the Sales Department. His main focus at the moment is load cells and learning the many product lines that Rice Lake offers.
