Payback Analysis Worksheet

In determining the amount of time (days) required to recover your cost to fit your truck with Rice Lake onboard scales, it is necessary to establish the degree and frequency of both overloading and underloading.

Step 1: Review at least 10 recent consecutive weight receipts of loads from a certified scale. Include only legal loads. Do not include overloads. Add up these loads (Gross Weighments), then calculate your Average Load. EXAMPLE:

Step 2: Calculate the Average Underload per trip by subtracting your average load in Step 1 from the legally permissible Gross Weight. EXAMPLE:
