Ideal for ultra-high capacity vehicle weighing applications such as mining, coal, oil fields, forestry and construction materials, Rice Lake’s OTR-XV extreme duty vehicle scales are the toughest in the industry.

Whether you choose concrete or steel deck, both models feature wide-flange I-beam construction to minimize deflection or vertical flexing—a major factor in determining weighbridge lifespan. Many other manufacturers use lighter beams and bent plates in the middle of the bridge, or may space beams farther away from the center of the module to reduce the cost of the scale. Over time, this type of bridge can bow, causing inaccuracies in weighments, scale downtime and eventually scale failure.

The OTR-XV 11-foot-wide steel deck design features 14-inch, wide flange beams on 11.5-inch centers running longitudinally with the traffic flow beneath up to two-inch diamond check steel top plate. The concrete deck option features 14-inch main beams and 8-inch beams under a 6-inch thick slab of concrete.
