Rice Lake Weighing Systems announces that their Arnhem-based European division, Rice Lake Weighing Systems Europe B.V., has acquired the Dutch belt-scale manufacturer Master Engineering, of nearby Heteren.
Throughout The Netherlands and Belgium, Master Engineering has grown to become a key systems and solutions provider of static and dynamic weighing, batching and dosing systems. Rice Lake plans to retain all existing Master Engineering employees and continue manufacturing as normal, while relocating their Arnhem operations to the Master Engineering facility in Heteren.
Rice Lake Weighing Systems Europe B.V. opened in 2011 with the goal of better serving Rice Lake’s existing European customer base. The acquisition works well for the company’s long-term growth and expansion plans within Europe, as it enhances Rice Lake’s core competencies and establishes a manufacturing presence within the E.U. The acquisition also expands the current distribution network for both companies. Rice Lake looks forward to continued growth and expansion within the European market.
Rice Lake Weighing Systems is family-owned and has been manufacturing and distributing weight-related products since 1946. Its headquarters, metrology laboratory and main manufacturing plant are located in Rice Lake, Wisconsin with support facilities throughout the world including North America, South America, India and the Netherlands.
