A junction box is required to properly manage multiple load cell systems. Rice Lake junction boxes are designed to withstand the elements and keep sensitive electronics protected.

What Is a Junction Box?

A junction box, also called a j-box or a summing box, brings multiple load cells together so they can function as a single scale. A junction box houses wire connections from multiple load cells to sum their signals and send the value to a weight indicator. The enclosure provides environmental protection for all of wire connections. A junction box also provides a convenient place to troubleshoot system errors because all load cell connections are in one place.
